I am shooting PQ. And Canon not compatible with Canon :) still not able to use it. “Switching to faster wifi connection” not fast enough. Just for one picture 20 seconds to wait. Also not a good solution. But a good UHS-II card reader is handy. Also Canon is still using USB 2 for accessing that makes it slow even by cable. It is not slow to transfer files, but just to browse to find one.

Editing hdr photos in Lightroom is only possible with hdr1000, right? Wouldn't nits amount be just as important color accuracy, when dealing with hdr photo editing?

All storage loses its index after a while. Leaving them on the shelf will degrade your storage. HDD last more than a year, while USB drives will die within 6 months. A SATA SSD may last 9 months before the data is corrupted. Install your hardware and run or search it. View docs and photos, play music or video every few months to save your data.

It’s very slow to change zoom compared to an internal zoom lens. But it’s still a superb lens. I have the 100-300 2.8 and it’s significantly better. But it’s a beast.

whatever u saved in hardware u will pay it 3 folds in energy costs , ddr2 systems is way too old , even a i3 6100 system which u can get for about same price would be way faster and also not be so inefficient that the energy bill would be the main cost , seriously ddr2 system, no ofense , highly highly not recommend anyone to do this

It's my favorite mic, but GD is the build quality garbage. I've had three break in less than a year. It's always the cold shoe mount.
